Paper Players 224

DSCF6514-001

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Hard to believe that tomorrow is December 1!  Yikes!  I feel like November went by too quickly!  Anyway, Jaydee is our hostess at the Paper Players this week, and she has a tic-tac-toe challenge for us!  Always love them!  Here you go:

Oh boy, I had so much fun making this card!  I chose the bottom horizontal line for my tic-tac-toe!  What do you think:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Paper Players 224 Sweet Season's Greetings Polar Bear Christmas

This little polar bear image is an oldie from My Favorite Things called Cool Yule!  I cut him out and paper pieced his scarf with a DSP scrap, then added a little shading with my Soft Sky marker.  I sat him plop in the middle of snowbank, diecut with the Stitched Hillside die from Lawn Fawn!  I added a felt tree, some sequin ornaments and a little glimmer paper star!

My Soft Sky card base is embossed with a Sissix EF called Christmas Words and Dots….the dots look just like falling snow, don’t you think?  My outside sentiment is from Lil’ Inker, and the inside sentiment is from the Cool Yule set, both stamped in Old Olive ink!

The design team has some fabulous creations based on their own tic-tac-toe combinations!  Won’t you check them out?

Thanks for visiting today!

Cassidy wanted to build a snowman (now you all probably have that song in your heads) but we really didn’t have that much snow on the ground!  But we did have some on the patio table, so Grammy went to work:

Cassidy did get the sticks for the arms; I had to steal a carrot from Grampy’s lunch for his nose, and I added a little hand-knit hat I made for one of her dolls.  By the time we were done, she was ready to come in:

It was pretty nasty out there, LOL!  Enjoy your day!

Happy Friday, peeps!  I hope all my US friends had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  We did!  I have another birthday card to share with you today; this one uses the Freshly Made Sketches sketch for this week:

And here is my “eclectic” creation:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Collage Birthday Teeny Tiny Wishes Stampin Up

All the papers and embellishments are from an old Cosmo Cricket Odds & Ends pad that hadn’t been touched for a while, and I just cut them apart and arranged them pleasingly.  I added a panel of Crumb Cake with a diecut border, some crochet lace, an organdy ribbon frosted with glitter, a few sequins, and a button tied with linen thread.  I also did some wonky stitching around the outside edge!  The one little bit of stamping is the birthday sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes, stamped in Riding Hood Red:

I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed putting this together!  I also loosely used the color palette from the Color Throwdown this week, which I LOVE:

I know my card isn’t a holiday card, but I hope that’s okay!  And there are a wee bit of other colors in there too!

We had a few inches of wet snow on Wednesday, and Cassidy just had to go out and play in it!  My photos are a little blurry, but I still love the look on her face!

Mojo 373

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  Are you gearing up for Thanksgiving?  The weather is supposed to be “iffy” today; hopefully it will clear up by tomorrow!  I have lots of birthdays coming up next month for which I need cards, so I used the Mojo Monday sketch for this week to get started:

It’s a tall and skinny challenge, so I made a 6 x 3 1/2” card, using Amazing Birthday in lots of bright colors:

The diagonal panel was embossed with the Lucky Stars EF; I paper-pieced the various portions of the stamp, then added some sequins and stars to jazz it up a bit!  A little twine bow finished it off!

I used the same colors on the inside sentiment too:

Now I need to make a custom envelope for it!  Thanks for visiting today!

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  I needed a get-well card for a sweet lady in my Bible study group who suffered a mini stroke.  I thought this card full of springy colors would cheer her up!

My sketch is from Match The Sketch for this week:

I used floral images from Flower Patch in Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding, and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  DSP is Gold Soiree…such pretty colors!

We had a big production last week…making playdoh clothes for her doll!

Didn’t work quite how she planned, but it was a good learning experience and kept her occupied for quite a while!  Enjoy your day!

Three Baby Cards

DSCF6362
Hey there, everyone!  I am posting very, very late today, but I had a card whose challenge is almost over, so I wanted to squeak it in!  I needed three baby cards this week for friends!  Two girls and a boy, lots of fun stamping!  So here’s the first one, using one of my favorite layouts:
LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Tiny Treats Baby Card
I used Papertrey’s Tiny Treats set, stamping each critter in Memento black and coloring them in with Copics.  The DSP is Confetti Celebration, and I used Garden Green and Chocolate Chip for the mats that were punched with the Postage Stamp punch.  The sentiment is from the retired Nursery Necessities set, stamped on a banner and embellished with a candy dot.
My next two both use the same MME papers, just different images and layouts:
LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Baby Coach Card
The one above uses images and a sentiment from Cloud 9’s Baby set; I stamped it in Basic Gray, and also added the retired A to Z stamp on the background paper for a little additional interest.  I added a scalloped circle mat in Pink Pirouette and some pink gingham. The single-word sentiment qualifies this for the City Crafter Challenge this week too!
Finally, using some of the same papers, I used a Shoe Boutique image from Cornish Heritage Farm, coloring it with markers:

I added a shabby bow with SU’s Very Vanilla seam binding and a charm I snagged at a yard sale:

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Paper Players 223

DSCF6280

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Wow, what a busy week I just went through!  I am so happy to see Sunday!  My upline Pennie had a meeting for some of her downline at my church yesterday, and we had such a nice time!  It’s always fun to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones!

Today it is my turn to be hostess for the Paper Players, and I have a sketch for you:

I have one last Thanksgiving card for you using this sketch, and I have to chuckle; this is in the mail already to my sister in South Carolina, and she happened to be sitting right next to me as I was typing this up, but she was on her iPad and not paying a bit of attention to me, so it will be a surprise to her when she goes home today and finds it in her mailbox!

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Paper Players 223 Give Thanks Thanksgiving Stampin Up

As I look at my photo, the Very Vanilla circle looks almost stark white, but it really matches quite nicely IRL!  My card base is Very Vanilla, and I added a Crumb Cake panel stamped with the retired Linen background stamp; the plaid is some retired DSP from a couple of autumns ago.  The sentiment is from last month’s Paper Pumpkin kit!   The turkey is a single stamp (also retired; I think it’s called GIve Thanks) that I stamped in Early Espresso and matted on an EE scallop:

DSCF6284

I added a burlap ribbon layered with two EE ribbons, and on top, an acorn that I painted with acrylic paints:

DSCF6283

On the inside, the turkey makes an appearance again, this time stamped in Crumb Cake, with a retired sentiment from Holiday Best stamped on top.

I hope you’ll find some inspiration with my sketch this week, and be sure to share your creation with us at the Paper Players!  Check out what the other designers did as well!

I didn’t really get many photos from our meeting, but here is one of me and my little downline:

My friend Joan; me; my downline Laura; her downline Dawn; and my downline Jen.  We had a lot of fun, learned lots of stuff and went home with lots of goodies!

And just so you don’t miss her too much, here’s Miss Cassidy at a local mall:

Happy Thursday, peeps!  Phew, my week is winding down and I actually squeaked in some stamping time yesterday!  I needed a break from Christmas cards, so I made a birthday card…I think these colors in Confetti Celebration are a bit unusual, but  it’s good to step out of the box a bit!  Although  the recipient might get a shock after seeing these patterns together, LOL!   Here ya go:

I used the Freshly Made Sketches sketch:
Used my new feather framelits with Gorgeous Grunge and a little sponging, and Hardwood for the background panel:

The “happy birthday” is from Something to Say, and the inside sentiment is from Fabulous Four!  I love how the fonts coordinate!
